Bat Dawgs move to 6-22 on year

Eli Brown stole home on a wild pitch Monday during Clinton County’s game against McCreary County at John Emmitt Polston Field.The umpire called Brown safe at the plate. The Dawgs led the game 3-0, but back-to-back errors gave McCreary County the chance to tie the game, 3-3. The Bat Dawgs ended up winning the game 8-4, for its sixth win of the season.

Derek Albertson made contact with the ball Monday, but didn’t reach base as McCreary County made the out at first. Clinton County won the game, 8-4.

Head Coach Patrick Stalcup took a time out to talk with pitcher Wayne Stearns, number 11, and catcher Josh Myers during Monday’s game against McCreary County. The Bat Dawgs moved to 6-22 on the year with the 8-4 win.

Shortstop Blake Talbott made a catch during Monday’s game against McCreary County. Clinton County is on a two game winning streak, defeating McCreary County Monday, 8-4 and Clay County, TN, on Thursday, May 3, 18-0.

Center fielder Travis Starns made a catch early in Monday’s game against McCreary County. The Bat Dawgs are close to wrapping up the season with four games on the schedule before post season play begins.
