Albany Police Department releases busy April activity report

Albany Police Department has released its activity report for the month of April 2012.

During the month, a total of 71 citations were issued involving 29 separate violations.

The following citations were issued during the month: Speeding, 11; DUI, seven; disorderly conduct-second degree and alcohol intoxication, five each; reckless driving, four; no insurance, three.

There were two citations each for the following: criminal trespass-third degree; fleeing or evading; prescription not in original container; assault-third degree; assault-fourth degree; no operator’s license; leaving the scene of an accident; hit-and-run; manufacturing methamphetamine-first degree; possession of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana and possession of meth precursors.

There was one citation issued for each of the following: DUI-second; driving on a DUI suspended license; possession of drug paraphernalia; criminal mischief-first degree; public intoxication; menacing; expired tags; possession of alcohol; possession of alcohol by a minor; no operator’s license (moped); shoplifting and improper plates.

The APD also served 18 warrants during the month of April.
