Bringing our sports fans something a little different from our normal high school basketball coverage, Clinton County News Sports Editor Al Gibson spent last Wednesday evening photographing the University of Louisville game against Big East Conference opponent and one of last year’s Final Four teams, West Virgina University.

After falling behind by as many as 11 points during the contest at the new YUM! Center in downtown Louisville, the Cardinals stormed back in the second half to eventually win the contest on the final field goal of the game, a sweeping layup by Peyton Siva that banked high off the backboard before falling through the basket with just 4.5 seconds remaining on the clock. Siva, finishing with 14 points, put the basket in despite being flanked by 6-foot-8 Mountaineer Kevin Jones and teammate 6-foot-7 John Flowers as he made his drive under the Cardinal basket.
