Bulldogs will take on Cumberland County in the district tournament next week

The Clinton County Bat Dawgs will close out the regular season this week and look ahead to next week’s district tournament.

The Bat Dawgs picked up a number three seed in this year’s tournament by picking up a win against Cumberland County, 7-5 and a win against Metcalfe County, 6-4, in the regular season.

Russell County picked up the number one seed in the district with a perfect 6-0 record. Russell County’s overall record this season is 22-9.

Russell County will play Metcalfe County in the opening round on Tuesday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m. at Metcalfe County.

The Bat Dawgs will face Cumberland County at 7:30 on Tuesday, May 22.

The Bat Dawgs have two regular season away games remaining on the schedule before next week’s post season play begins.

Patrick Stalcup is in his first year as head coach of the Bat Dawgs, and the team currently has a record of 6-23 on the year.
