The Clinton County Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-18 on the year with two losses this week. The first coming against Wayne County, 62-37, at Wayne County and the second against Logan County on Saturday night, 66-37.

The Clinton County Lady Bulldogs came off an impressive win last week at Cumberland County, and Coach Carter Adams said he thought that win might stimulate the Lady Dawgs a little, but according to the scores of this week’s games, that didn’t happen.
The Lady Bulldogs played well at the beginning of the game against the Lady Cougars finishing the first quarter only down by two points, 11-9.
As the second quarter got underway, Clinton County struggled to put the ball in the basket as Logan County went on a 19-1 run that started late in the first period. With the Bulldogs down by 15 points, Logan County continued to pressure and cause problems for the Lady Dawgs on offense.
As the second quarter came to a close, Stevi Morgan made two free throws with 41 seconds on the clock, but a field goal by Logan County counteracted those shots for a 17 point lead, 29-12.
Morgan finished the half with a three pointer to cut the lead to 14 as the clock sounded, 29-15.
The Lady Dawgs continued to struggle in the second half while Logan County seemed to never miss.
Clinton County scored only nine points in the third quarter, while Logan County put up 19 points for a 48-24 lead over the Lady Dawgs.
Clinton County’s fourth quarter didn’t seem to be the lift they needed, only scoring 13 total points. Logan County scored another 18 points for the final period to reach a final score of 66-37.

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Monticello Thursday night to take on the Lady Cardinals. The Lady Dawgs lost the contest by a final score of 62-37
Coach Adams was disappointed in the Lady Dawgs effort coming off the win against Cumberland County.
The Lady Bulldogs finished the game with 37 turnovers in the loss.

The Clinton County Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday night as Glasgow comes into town. The game is set for a 6 p.m. junior varsity start.
