Joyce Geraldine Smith Johnson, 71, Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Cumberland County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Elvin Ray and Lela Witham Smith and was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson and a brother, Herman Smith.

She is survived by a son, Bobby (Kathy) Johnson, Burkesville, KY; a daughter, Teresa Johnson, Nicholasville, KY; two step-sons, Larry Johnson, Lexington, KY; Perry Johnson, Beaver Dam, KY; a step-daughter, Nancy Geary, Hartford, KY; a brother, Teddy Smith, Muncie, IN; also a brother and sister-in-law, six step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Final resting place in Burkesville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Burkesville Cemetery Mowing Fund. Arrangements made through Norris-New Funeral Home of Burkesville.
