The Clinton County Lady Bat Dawgs won the first game of the distrct tournament against Cumberland County, 6-5, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
Clinton County then moved on to the finals, but were defeated by Metcalfe County 11-3.
On Monday, the Lady Bat Dawgs traveled to Bowling Green, KY, to take on Franklin-Simpson, but was defeated 10-6 in the first round of the regional tournament.
The Lady Bat Dawgs finished its season with a 28-11 record.
Clinton County graduated four seniors, Michelle Wray, Taylor Flowers, Veronica Lowhorn and Kasey Conner, all of whom were named to the all district team.
Clinton County is coached by Darrell Thompson and assisted by Scottie Stockton and Tony Delk.

Makayla McFall tagged a runner at third on Tuesday against Cumberland County. Clinton County won the opening round of the district tournament, 6-5, but was defeated by Metcalfe County on Wednesday of last week, 11-3.
