Joe S. Cross, 72, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late James Perry and Laura Mae (Smith) Cross and was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Cross; three daughters, Kathy Cross-Hurst, Sharon Cross-Slover and Vickie Cross (Johnny) Clayborn; a son, James William (Billy) Cross; a sister, Lida Sullivan-Neal, all of New Castle, IN; two brothers, David Cross, New Castle, IN and Billy Cross, Lynnwood, CA; two step-sisters, Maida Wallace and Cora Walls, both of Albany; also six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Indiana with final resting place in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
