Rainy weather settled into Clinton County earlier this week and while some portions of the new U.S. 127 Bypass were at a standstill, others areas had crews continue working to prepare for future contruction.

In the above and below photo, crews assembled a 150 ton crane that will be used in the construction of an overpass to cross the Old Burkesville Road, just south of WANY radio station.

In the bottom photo, a trackhoe operator worked in the southern part of Clinton County, near Spring Creek, preparing part of the surface for construction crew vehicles to travel in and out of the area.

Motorists are reminded that construction of the new highway will continue through the summer months, with construction equipment, flagging, detours and slow-downs being present from time to time.
