Dorothy Bonita Cooper Hicks, 80, Albany, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was the wife of the late Wendell Hicks, daughter of the late Bert and Reba Cooper and was a preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Hicks Tallent and four brothers, James, Millard, Herbert and Dee Cooper.

She is survived by three sons, Randy Hicks, Albany; Scottie (Angela) Hicks, Monticello, KY; Randell Hicks, Frankfort, KY; three daughters, Leta D. Hicks, Albany; Reta (Chuck) Acrey, and Sharon Hicks, Monticello, KY; a sister, Ruth Thrasher, Albany; also 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Harvey Antle officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
