Robert Dale Rains, 52, Albany, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident in Pickett County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Rains, his mother, Ora Shelton Sidwell Rains, his step-father, Charlie Sidwell and a brother, Willie Rains.

He is survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde (Alice), Johnny (Zella), Frankie (Juanita) Rains, all of Clarkrange, TN; Eddie Rains, Floyd (Anna) Rains; seven sisters, Rosie (Ray) Piercey, Monticello, KY; Louise Perdue, Byrdstown, TN; Jean (Steve) Johnson, Columbia, KY; Marie (Benny) Stinson, Albany; Becky Amonett, Clarkrange, TN; Ethel Boggs and Angela Cole, both of Albany; special friend, Kim Misler and daughter, Britney Misler, Albany; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Sister Teresa Tarter officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
