On Friday, June 29, at 6:37 p.m., Officers Jim Guffey and Sgt. Mark Bell of the Albany Police Department, along with the Clinton County Ambulance Service, responded to a possible wreck involving a semi-truck at the intersection of Cross Street and Water Street.
William H. Morgan, Jr., of Livingston, Tennessee was operating a 1999 International semi-truck pulling an empty cattle trailer, headed south on US 127. Investigation revealed that as Morgan was going around the curve at Cross Street and Water Street, the passenger side door came open, resulting in his daughter, Kerra Esslinger, of Livingston, falling out of the semi.
Esslinger was treated on the scene by the Clinton County Ambulance Service, and was transported to Clinton County Hospital for further treatment. As a result of the fall, Esslinger sustained a broken wrist, and some other cuts and bruises.
