Wendell Eugene Beaty, 86, Albany, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Wiled and Mary Zelma Allen Beaty, was a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was also preceded in death by six sisters, Annie Beaty, Ruby Vincent, Clara Piercy, Ova Conley, Willie Thompson and Maxine Beaty and four brothers, Ray, Reid, David and Homer Beaty.

He is survived by a brother, Tom Beaty, Muncie, IN; also several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Sells officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
