Leland “Weed” Perdew, 82, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. He was the son of the late Everett and Bess (Massengale) Perdew and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hack and Billy Perdue and a step-grandson, Robin Isaacs.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Perdew, New Castle, IN; three sons, Randy (Paula) and Rodney (Pamela) Perdew, New Castle, IN; Steve (Teresa) Perdew, Rushville, IN; a sister, Betty Lou (Dempsey) Bruton, New Castle, IN; three brothers, Gail Perdue, New Castle, IN; Frank Perdue, Monticello, KY; Rex Perdue, Troy, OH; a sister-in-law, Doris Perdue, Monticello, KY; also five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with final resting place in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition with visitation from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Indiana.
