Charlie Wayne Matthews, 69, Albany, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Clinton County Hospital. He was a member of Peolia United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gina Matthews.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Matthews; two sons, Rick (Suzy) Matthews and Tom Matthews, all of Albany; three sisters, Dimple Cash, Albany; Marian Cyphers, Burkesville, KY; Donna Lewis, Bowling Green, KY; a brother, Freddie Matthews, Albany; also two grandchildren, Rachel Cross and Kyle Matthews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Rev. David Stearns officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
