Girls’ golf team defeats Adair, Cumberland

The Clinton County girls’ golf team played in the Barren County Invitational last weekend.

The team didn’t have a score in the top 20 of 44 players, but their scores were consistant and close together in the rankings.

Ansley Stalcup finished the round with a 92, followed by Addison Bernard with a 103 and Samantha Stinson with a 105. Macy Campbell finished with a 110 while Bree Boils rounded out scoring for Clinton County with a 116.

During a match on July 31, the Lady Golf Dawgs defeated Adair County and Cumberland County by shooting a team score of 193, compared to Adair’s 196 and Cumberland’s 244.

Bernard and Stalcup posted 47s while Boils shot a 48 and Stinson rounded out scoring with a 51.

As a team, Clinton County finsihed in the middle of the pack with a score of 410, compared to the winning team score of 332 shot by Glasgow.
