Fern V. Allen, 75, Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Ethel “Bob” V. (Ballinger) and Ralph Kermit Vitatoe and a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Joyce) Groce, Albany; Kenny (Deanna) Allen, Burlington, VT; two granddaughters, Laura Groce, Albany; Lydia Allen, Burlington, VT; a brother-in-law, Danny (Sue) Allen, Lebanon, TN; also a niece and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday.
