Elgie S. Barnes, 65, Central Union Rd., Albany, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Clinton County Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Thurman Barnes; three daughters, Melissa Amonett, Christina Perdue and Carolyn Smith; two sons, Earl and Jesse Barnes, all of Albany; four sisters, Ora Lee Starnes, Connie Duvall, Theresa Scroggins, all of Albany and Georgia Reynolds, Byrdstown, TN; three brothers, Lloyd, Tony and Ricky Smith, all of Albany; also 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 3, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Sells officiating. Final resting place in Fairview Cemetery in Wayne County. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
