The Rollercoaster Yard Sale, now in its 27th year, will be rolling through Clinton County and other areas of Kentucky and Tennessee starting this Thursday and will run through Saturday, October 4-6.

The Rollercoaster Sale is one of the oldest and most authentic marathon yard sales in Tennessee and Kentucky, making a complete loop around Dale Hollow Lake, for a unique opportunity to make the most of your mileage by beginning and ending at any point along the route.

The sale takes in over 150 miles of yard sales and bargains, and also offers many small shops, farmers’ markets, produce stands and categories along the trail.

Crafters bring out their wares, making it a great time to pick up some special holiday gifts. Yard sale hunters will also find souvenir items, flea markets, antiques and collectibles.

For those of you with items you would like to sell, this is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the cooperative marketing efforts of the eight counties in two states involved in the event. Local and area vendors are welcome to set up and booth spaces are being offered by the Clinton County Recreation/Park Board by contacting Park Director Bobby Reneau at 688-4337.

Many communities also offer special events during the Rollercoaster Sale including car shows in Burkesville, Kentucky and Byrdstown, Tennessee; the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast in Celina and the Mud Lick BBQ at Mud Lick, Kentucky. Live bluegrass music and the Dale Hollow Bass Classic Fishing Tournament in Byrdstown will also be added this year.

The over 150 mile route takes in 25 communities and towns over the three-day period.
