Ben Leigh Dyer, 65, Mayfield, Kentucky and a native of Albany, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at his home. He was the son of the late Ben and Barbara Dyer, formerly of Albany and a retired mortgage underwriter and gifted writer and musician.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Dyer, Mayfield, KY; a daughter, Charlotte McAllister, Mt. Juliet, TN; a sister, Janie Cravens, Washington, GA; a grandson, Jeffrey McAllister and one great-grandson, Benjamin McAllister, San Diego, California.
