Albany Police and the Albany Fire Department were called to the scene Friday of a suspected active meth lab inside a dumpster at Somerset Oil. According to police officer Jim Guffey, it was found by someone who was set up at the Rollercoster Yard Sale. Guffey said when he saw the lab it was still “cooking” so he moved it to a safe distance away from the gas tanks. The Kentucky State Police were called to the scene in order to break down the lab for safe transport. Guffey said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
