Two all terrain vehicles were stolen last week from Denney’s Auto and Marine Wednesday morning around 12:30 a.m. and were recovered around 2:25 a.m. in Russell Springs, according to Jamestown Police Officer Tony Key.

The ATVs that were taken, a 2013 Arctic Cat and a 2006 Honda four-wheeler, were spotted on a trailer by Key.

“I made a traffic stop on the 2002 green Chevy pickup,” Key said. “We had received a BOLO on the two four wheelers and at 2:25 a.m. I saw the truck at the stop light at the bypass.”

Key said he arrested Jonathan Roberts, 44, of London, KY, as well as 27 year old Joshua Roberts and 22-year-old Jacob Roberts.

Key said all three were charged with receiving stolen property more than $10,000. Key said he issued charges from Clinton County which were burglary in the third degree, theft by unlawful taking more than $10,000 and criminal mischief in the third degree. Joshua Roberts was also charged with being a fugitive from another state. All three were lodged in the Russell County Jail.

Key said he was assisted by Mark Cromwell of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department, Matt Parish of the Russell Springs Police Department as well as the initial crime reported by Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Asberry.
