Dr. Bob Hoots, 80, Columbia, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2012 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He began preaching at 13 and held his first revival at 15. He held over 2,500 revivals and camp meetings and was a member of Science Hill Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gibson Hoots; a son, Mark Hoots, both of Columbia, KY; three daughters, Lydia Sturdivant, Bowling Green, KY; Miriam Hoots, Columbia, KY; Megan Grubbs, VA; also nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Science Hill Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Gene Wells officiating. Final resting place in Gibson Cemetery in Clinton County. Arrangements made through Morris and Hislope Funeral Home of Columbia, Kentucky.
