John Quentin Dickerson

John Quentin Dickerson, 89, Indianapolis, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Noblesville, Indiana. He was the son of the late R.L. and Verlie Stearns Dickerson, husband of the late Anna Brown Dickerson and a veteran of World War II and was a POW.

He is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne (Kathy) Dickerson, Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Cordell (Mattie) Dickerson, Albany; J.M. (Mary) Dickerson, Paris, KY; five sisters, Iva Lee Summers and Lena Mae Dickerson, both of Albany; Elizabeth (Sam) Sanders, Columbia, KY; Frances (Bill) Vincent, New Castle, IN; Virginia Burke, Ft. Myers, FL; two grandsons, Joshua and Jesse Dickerson; also three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Bernard officiating. Final resting place in Lands Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
