Clinton Grand Jury has light October session last Monday

The Clinton County Grand Jury convened in regular session last Monday, October 22 and returned true bills against three individuals, naming two persons in multiple counts in open Circuit Court.

The following indictments were handed down by the local grand jury last week:

* The alleged offenses of wanton endangerment first degree, receiving stolen property, and fleeing or evading police first degree, against Anthony Ortkiese, when on or about August 21, the defendant retained or disposed of a 2005 Ford Escape, the moveable property of Michelle Fultz, knowing said property had been stolen…property having a value of more than $10,000; wantonly engaged in conduct when he intentionally swerved at an Albany Police Department Officer, Brad Cross, and attempted to hit him with his vehicle; and, knowingly or wantonly fled in his vehicle from a person recognized to be a police officer.

* The alleged offense of wanton endangerment first degree (three counts); operating a motor vehicle while under the influence-first offense; and, reckless driving, against Tony D. Parrigin, when on or about June 23, the defendant wantonly engaged in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Shawn Abbott, Cheryl Abbott and a minor child, when he was traveling north in the south bound lane at the intersection of Ky. Hwy. 1590 and U.S. 127, placing (them) in immediate danger of death or physical injury; operated a motor vehicle while the alcohol concentration in his blood or breath was 0.08 or higher; and, failed to operate his vehicle in a careful manner.

* The alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport against Frankie Booher, when on or about January 28, 2009 through October 22, 2012, defendant failed to provide support for his minor child or children, said failure having resulted in an arrearage of $1,517.50 as of October 22, 2012.
