Ira Joe Pittman, 59, Albany, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011. He was the son of the late Joe Pittman and father of Joseph Pittman and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his mother, Rema Mathews Pittman; a sister, Denise (Albert) Hyden, New Castle, IN; a brother, Cecil (Bird Man) Pittman, Hustonville, KY; two uncles, Richard and Carl Mathews, both of Albany; two aunts, Nell Butler, New Castle, IN; Doris Hall, TX; two nieces, Cynthie Harvey and Kimberly Wallen; a grandson, Thor Pittman; also several cousins.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Byrd officiating. Final resting place in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany.
