Leah “Margaret” Cummings Byrd, 80, Glasgow, Kentucky and formerly of Albany, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mattie Cummings; wife of the late John Luther Byrd and was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Byrd.

She is survived by a son, Philip (Martha) Byrd, Glasgow, KY; two sisters, Lucille (David) Cole, Bowling Green, KY; Mary (Charles) Rhule, Byrdstown, TN; four brothers, Edward (Geneva) and Ernest (Creola) Cummings, both of Byrdstown, TN; Earl (Virgie) Cummings, Cookeville, TN; Grady (Clarine) Cummings, Albany; also one granddaughter, one great-grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow with final resting place in Hiseville Cemetery in Barren County.
