The Dale Hollow State Lake Park held its annual Angel Tree event Monday at the lodge where around 20 kids from Clinton County participated.

The event has been held for the past seven years with Cumberland County and last year the staff and Dale Hollow Lake State Park Resort Director Mike Lynn decided to include Clinton County in the event.

Lynn told the NEWS last year that the event was completely funded by the park employee. Each employee uses fund rasiers and donations collected throughout the year in order to provide gifts to children at Christmas time.

The idea to provide for both Cumberland and Clinton Counties snowballed from one of his previous jobs with the state park. Lynn said he has been with the state park as an employee for the past 20 years, the past nine at Dale Hollow.

These youth were hand selected by the staff at the Family Resource Center located inside the Albany Elementary School.
