A local man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Livingston, Tennessee on Friday, January 18.

Jesse Turner Bowman, 21, of Tompkinsville, was killed when the 2012 Nissan Altima he was driving was struck by a 1998 Ford E15 van at 10:48 a.m.

According to an accident report by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Stanley Roberts, the van was being driven east by James L. King, 26, of Livingston on Hwy. 52 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2010 International Pro Truck and Trailer loaded with Kingsford Charcoal being driven west by Harry Henry Graves, 46, of Panama City, Florida. After King’s vehicle hit the tractor trailer, it continued to the left and struck Bowman’s vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway.

All drivers were belted with King being injured and Graves noted as not injured.

According to a THP spokesman, citations were issued to King in relation to the accident, but that additional criminal charges are pending in the investigation.
