Clinton County will participate in the statewide Tornado Safety Drill on Tuesday, March 5 at approximately 9:07 a.m. Central Time. Outdoor warning sirens will be activated in communities across the state and in Albany/Clinton County as part of the exercise. The county’s emergency alert notification system will also be activated.
The drill is scheduled in conjunction with Severe Weather Awareness Month in Kentucky.
During the test alert, all Kentuckians, businesses, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and government agencies are encouraged to participate and practice their tornado safety drill and update their emergency plan.
(The annual issue highlighting severe weather safety tips and information will be published in next week’s Clinton County News.)
