The Pickett County Sheriff’s Department has been focusing on individuals that are “smurfing,” which means buying pseudo ephedrine pills for another who is manufacturing methamphetamine.

On February 11, Jason Huddleston, 32, of Byrdstown, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine, and Initiation to Manufacture Methamphetamine.

On February 21, Bobby Gayle Pryor, 52, of Byrdstown, was arrested for Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine.

During the investigations, the sheriff’s department have utilized information from other agencies to help seizures of meth labs.
