CCMS Academic Team earns District Championship
The Clinton County Middle School Elementary Academic Team participated in the 91st District Governor’s Cup Competition on Tuesday, February 26th and Saturday, March 2. The team placed 1st overall in the points standing, bringing home the championship trophy. The Quick Recall Team placed 1st, and the FPS Team placed 2nd. The following individuals placed in Written Assessment:
Conlan Beck-1st in Social Studies and 1st in Arts and Humanities (tie), Dalton Gregory-1st in Math and 1st in Science, Paige Hicks-4th in Language Arts and 1st in Composition, Bobbianne Key-5th in Math and 2nd in Composition, Quade Martin-3rd in Social Studies and 5th in Science, Jaden Mullins-3rd in Science and 1st in Arts and Humanities (tie), Rachel Sawyers-5th in Language Arts, Camrick Wright-3rd in Math and 1st in Language Arts.
FPS Team Members are: Corey Adkins, Douglas Conner, Madison Craig, and Rachel Sawyers.
The team will compete in Regional Governor’s Cup at Science Hill Elementary on March 19 and 23. The Quick Recall and Written Assessment Teams are coached by Mrs. Danielle Hicks. The FPS Team is coached by Mr. Doug Spears.
