SODA meetings
The support group, SODA (Survivors of Domestic Violence), meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Clinton County Health Department. For more information call 1-800-755-2017.

Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous group meets each Monday and Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Albany. These meetings are open to anyone wanting to address their drug and alcohol problems.

AA and Al-Anon will be meeting each Thursday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the basement of the First Christian Church.
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery, for those people suffering with depression, addictions to drug or alcohol use, etc., will meet on Tuesdays at

VA Officer available
Gary Jones, Veterans Benefit Field Representative for Clinton and surrounding counties, will be in Glasgow at 216 E. Public Square, Lower Level, every day except for the first Tuesday, second Monday, second Thursday and third Monday each month. Zumba classes offered
Zumba classes will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Optional-before each class beginning at 5:45 p.m. Zumba basic step routines will be covered. (Again, this is optional and offered to beginners and/or participants who are relatively new to the class.) What is Zumba? Zumba is an aerobic fitness program using music based on salsa, meringue, cumbia, raggaeton, calypso, soca, samba, African, cha cha, hip hop and other music. Classes are offered for people of all abilities. Classes are for adults and students 9th grade and up. Having a dance background is not required, in fact, most participants won’t have any dance background. Fees are $5 per class. How do you register? Just show up for class. (Prior to your first attended Zumba class, please arrive a few minutes early to complete a one-time registration form.) Lead instructor is Stephanie Likins. For more information call 387-9622.
Project Graduation to host womanless beauty pageant
Clinton County High School Class of 2011 Project Graduation will be hosting a “Bodacious Womanless Beauty Pageant” on Saturday, March 12 at 6 p.m. at the CCHS gym. There will be many fun contestants and several surprise celebrities. Come on out for a fun night of entertainment. $5 admittance. Concessions will be available. 18-4

Little League baseball sign-up dates will be the following four Saturdays, Feb. 26, March 5 and 26 and April 2 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at IGA. Living Well with Diabetes
Living Well with Diabetes classes will be offered free at the Clinton County Health Department on Wednesdays, March 9, 16 and 23 from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. A Diabetes Basics will also be held on April 4 from 5-7 p.m. and a Support Group meeting April 20 from 1-2 p.m. Classes will also be offered in May and a Nutrition Basics class in June. Alzheimer’s caregiver training
This program is for those who have a friend or family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Local and statewide experts in aging and Alzheimer’s care will present on Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving basics, legal decisions, and fall prevention techniques. The program will take place on Wednesday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time at the Cancer Treatment Center, 112 Tradepark Drive, Somerset. Registration is $10 and includes lunch. A Relay For Life bundle opening will be held Saturday, March 5 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Early Childhood Center’s all-purpose room, sponsored by the ECC Relay For Life team. All items will be $1 each.

Long Beards Banquet

Hunting and Fishing Expo
Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park has partnered with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife to host a Hunting and Fishing Expo on March 5, 2011 from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm CST.
All outdoorsman will enjoy attending the expo to browse vendor booths and attend educational seminars and demonstrations, visit with hunting and fishing guides, test your skills at the archery range or at the Hunter Education Game – Laser Shot.
