Students and faculty at Clinton County Area Technology Center celebrated Career and Technical Education Month during the month of February, 2013. This month-long celebration recognized the importance of CTE across the state of Kentucky and across the country.

This year’s national theme CTE: Careers & Technical Education Works. Mayor Nicky Smith visited the school on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 and signed a proclamation designating February 11-15, 2013 as Career and Technical Education Week.

Kentucky Tech–Clinton County Area Technology Center is committed to College and Career Ready. The Career Pathways offered at the ATC grant students the opportunity to receive sequential learning within career and technical areas in demand, to earn industry certifications, and the potential to earn college credit while still in high school. Students enrolled in CTE classes have the advantage of learning in a project-based environment focused on advancing their technical skills while preparing for the demands of the 21st century workplace.

Kentucky Tech-Clinton County Area Technology Center currently offers five Career Pathways for Clinton and Cumberland County students in grades 9-12. The pathways include: Health Sciences, Billie Frye; Electricity, Jerry Bell; Carpentry, Jason Harlan; Welding, Jesse Burchett; and Office Systems Technology, Teresa Giles.
