J.O. Phillips, 66, Albany, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways and a member of Albany Masonic Lodge #206. He was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Phillips; a son, Ronnie Lynn Phillips and a brother, Tommy Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Phillips; his mother, Ora Lee Phillips; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Henry Pruitt, all of Albany; four sisters, Debbie (Jim) Reynolds, Byrdstown, TN; Janie (Kay) Flowers and Connie (Scott) Gregory, Albany; Janice (Jimmy) Maynard, Sparta, TN; two brothers, Donnie (Cathy) Phillips and Ronnie (Connie) Phillips, Albany; also two grandchildren, Noah and Nevaeh Pruitt.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley, Bro. Bruce Stearns and Bro. Alvin Sells officiating. Final resting place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
