Clinton County Middle School went 3-0 at Wayne County Cardinal High School Field to win the 2013 H&W Bat Card Classic held on April 12 and 13. The tournament involved six teams, Warren East, Cumberland County, Wayne County, Monroe County, McCreary County, and Clinton County.
In the three games played, the Bulldogs out hit their opponents 21-7 earning 26 runs to their opponent’s seven. Jeffrey Collins gave up one hit to beat Wayne County 7-2. Jacob Bertram threw a no hitter against McCreary Central in the second game for a 12-1 win, and Ely Baker finished the tournament defeating Monroe County, with Jacob Bertram getting the save to win the championship game 7-4.
