Below, Barney Latham, local bee enthusiast, transplanted a bee swarm from a home in Albany. Honey bees usually swarm this time a year when their previous hive gets too big. When bees swarm, they are looking for another place to make their home according to Latham.

After Latham picked up the swarm on Thursday of last week, another swarm at the same location was found Sunday, followed by a third swarm on Monday. Below, Willard Johnson, also a bee enthusiast, brought a man-made beehive in efforts to collect the second swarm. Below, a third swarm was found Monday and collected by Latham.
