Clinton County Board of Education held a brief special meeting last Wednesday morning, April 24 with four of five members present and two official items of business on the agenda.

The board, on a motion by Jeff Sams, voted to appoint Jimmy W. York and Michael Davis to serve as members on the Local Facility’s Planning Committee. Those two individuals will join Vince Ostertag as a community member. He and board member Kevin Marcum were appointed during the board’s regular meeting on April 8.

Also on a motion by Sams, the board voted 4-0 to allow Albany Elementary School to participate in a fundraising activity with proceeds going to the American Heart Association.

No other items were on the agenda, which was then adjourned.

The next regular meeting of the school board is scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office and is open to the public.
