Wallen

Garnet T. (Lester) Wallen, 86, Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. She attended West Park Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late J.V. and Curtis Hancock Lester.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil E. Wallen, Knoxville, TN; two daughters, Leslie Gayle Kennedy, Knoxville, TN; Marsha Andrea Walker, Canton, GA; three grandchildren, Holly Kennedy-House; Tara and Douglas Walker; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan House and Audrey Walker.

A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at West Park Baptist Church with a graveside service at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Click Funeral Home of Farragut, Tennessee.
