Arnold Jackson Cool, 86, formerly of Albany, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. Known throughout Clinton County as Bro. Cool, and being an ordained minister, he served as pastor of seven Baptist churches, including Central Grove, Cave Springs, Fairland, Clear Fork, Pikeview, Green Grove and Branham Grove. He worked for South Kentucky RECC for 28 years, served as Lions Club President, Fair Board President, and assistant Albany Volunteer Fire Department Chief of 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II and was honored by being commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Cool; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold P. and Earlene Cool, Benton, KY; Mark and Cathie Cool, Lancaster, KY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara N. and Eddie Middleton, Concord, N.C.; Lisa J. and Terry Armstrong, Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, Marshall and Jake Cool, Paula Godwin, Alyssa Sparks, Kendra Middleton, Travis Armstong and Casey Bowen; also seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Sawyer and Bro. Jeff Brown officiating. Final resting place in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
