Grand jury hands down multi-count indictments

The Clinton County Grand Jury, after cancelling its session in April, convened in regular session last Monday, May 20 and returned indictments–several multi-charge true bills–in open Circuit Court.

The following indictments were returned last week:

* Gabrielle N. Duvall: The alleged offenses of failure to maintain insurance on a motor vehicle (class B misdemeanor); reckless driving; fleeing or evading police first degree (class D felony); unlawful possession of a meth precursor (class D felony); manufacturing methamphetamine (class B felony); and no/expired registration plates. All of the charges allegedly occurred on or about April 4.

* Stephen M. Bell: The alleged offenses of criminal mischief first degree (class D felony); criminal trespass third degree; theft by unlawful taking or disposition; and three counts of persistent felony offender, when he destroyed or damaged more than $1,000 property belonging to Jeff Hunley, remained on the property without permission, took several radiators valued at more than $500 and committed the offenses after having been stood convicted of a prior felony offense within the last five years. The alleged offenses occurred on or about March 12 through April 15.

* Timmy D. Neal: The alleged offenses of criminal mischief first degree (class D felony); arson third degree (class D felony); burglary third degree (class D felony); criminal trespass third degree; and theft by unlawful taking or disposition, when he allegedly destroyed or damaged property belong to Jeff Hunley, having a value of more than $1,000, caused damage to a building when he intentionally set wire on fire in attempt to remove the coating, remained unlawfully in the building with the intent to commit a crime and without permission and took several radiators, having a value of more than $500. The alleged offenses occurred on or about March 12 through April 15.

* Garrett G. Gabbard: The alleged offenses of third-degree criminal mischief (class B misdemeanor); burglary second degree (class C felony); and criminal trespass second degree, when he pried open the basement door to gain entry into a residence of Jesse Simmons, remained unlawfully in the residence with the intent to commit a crime and without permission. The alleged offenses occurred on or about May 10.

* Jonathan Wray: The alleged offense of theft by deception (class D felony) when he intentionally purchased and received a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica from Gibson Motors, having a value of less than $10,000. The alleged offense occurred on or about January 25.

* Lisa Richardson: The alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport when defendant failed to pay support for her minor child or children, being in arrearage of approximately $15,070.18. The alleged offense occurred on or about April 27, 2009 through May 20, 2013.
