Ethan Cook received a good throw from catcher Travis Garmon to tag out a runner trying to steal second base early in the game. Clinton County lost the opening round of the district tournament, 10-0 against Russell County.

Above, Parker Means hit a ball to the infield and was thrown out at first base Wednesday during the opening round of the 16th District Tournament held at Russell County.

Above, Eli Brown made contact with the ball during Clinton County’s first round game against Russell County on Wednesday. Clinton County was shutout in the district opener, 10-0, and finish the season with a 3-28 record.

Both Amber Allen, above, and Jonathan Branham, above, right, started their respective games on the mound Wednesday during the opening round of the 16th District Tournament held at Russell County. The Lady Bat Dawgs played number one seed Metcalfe County and were defeated 2-0. The Bat Dawgs played number one seed Russell County and were defeated 10-0.

Leah Claborn put a ball in play during Clinton County’s first round district game against Metcalfe County Wednesday. The Lady Bat Dawgs lost the contest, 2-0, and finished the season with a 10-17 record.

Taylor Delk got under a pop fly and made the out during the Lady Bat Dawgs’ opening round game of the 16th District Tournament held at Russell County. Clinton County held the Lady Hornets scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when Metcalfe County scored one run. The Lady Hornets finished the game with two runs while holding Clinton County to zero runs.
