The Clinton County Democrat Party will hold a meeting Thursday, June 6 at the Community Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. The agenda is as follows: registration; pledge to the U.S. flag, prayer and moment of silence for J.O. Phillips; roll call of precinct officers; regular order of business and discuss fundraiser for a party flower fund, plan for a picnic and cookout for August party meeting; adjournment.

Fun For All Ages Program
A Fun For All Ages Program is being held on Tuesday nights from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Clinton County Public Library. There are kid friendly stories and nutrition related activities for youth. Library staff will be on hand to work with any adult wanting to learn more about computers, such as e-mail, internet and Microsoft. For more information, contact the Extension Office at 387-5404.

Class of 1958 reunion planned
The Clinton County High School Class of 1958 will hold its 55th anniversary reunion on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 4-10 p.m. at the Dale Hollow Lake State Park. Lodging reservations at the park may be made by calling 800-325-2282. All class members are urged to attend, including members who started with the class but did not graduate, as well as spouses of deceased members. 5K Color Run for charity

Veterans and their families seeking benefits in south central Kentucky will now be able to find help and advice at a central location. Narcotics Anonymous group meets each Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights at 7 p.m. at the Bright Idea Missionary Baptist Church basement in Albany. These meetings are open to anyone wanting to address their drug and alcohol problems.
Park Board to collect donations for
playground equipment
Mountain View Recreation Park Board members will be taking up donations at the gate on Monday, June 10 and Thursday, June 13 from 4-8 p.m. The donations will go toward a new piece of playground equipment.

Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Hunter
Education Instructor Class
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife will sponsor a Hunter Education Instructor Class Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time. The class will be held at the Russell County Sportsman’s Club. This instructor class will allow the participants to help teach the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife’s hunter education course. It is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who has already completed the hunter education student course (orange card). Anyone who is not currently receiving city water may want to purchase a Fire Membership with the City of Albany. If you are already paying fire membership dues, it is time for renewal! Your 2013-2014 payment is due by July 1, 2013. The fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. Football Booster Club meeting
The Football Boosters will have its monthly meeting Tuesday, June 11 at 5 p.m. at the blue building at the high school. These meetings are always held the second Tuesday of every month and are for anyone interested in being part of the football boosters.
School board meeting cancelled
The regular meeting of the Clinton County Board of Education scheduled for Monday, June 10, 2013 has been cancelled.
Local planning committee meeting
On behalf of the Clinton County Board of Education, the Clinton County Local Planning Committee will meet on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Clinton County Board of Education at 4:00 PM. The purpose of this meeting is for participants to begin the process of receiving suggestions relative to future utilization of existing school facilities and construction of new school centers. During this meeting the first of two orientation videos will be shown which is required by the Kentucky Department of Education.

District Facilities Plan public forum
On behalf of the Clinton County Board of Education, the Clinton County Local Planning Committee will convene a Public Forum to solicit public comments concerning the District Facilities Plan. The forum will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Clinton County Board of Education Office at 5:00 PM local time.
