Good Neighbors Theatre auditioning for Alice In Wonderland on Saturday, June 15

Good Neighbors Theatre is pleased to announce that it will be presenting Eva LeGallienne and Florida Friebus’ adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice in Wonderland on July 26, 27 and 28, August 1, 2, and 3.

The production will be under the direction of Daniel Poore and Amanda Hatfield and is produced in cooperation with Samuel French, Inc.

Daniel is a theatre major at Union University and is from Cookeville.

Amanda currently serves as GNT Vice President and has received her Bachelor’s Degree in theatre from Campbellsville University.

Auditions for the production will be Saturday, June 15, any time from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with rehearsals beginning the following week.

In conjunction with this production, GNT will hold its 3rd Annual Children’s Drama Workshops which will be geared toward preparing the students for participation in this production.

The workshops will be held one day a week for five weeks beginning the week of June 24.

The Youth Workshop for students having completed grades 6 through 12 will be held on Mondays June 24, July 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

An Elementary Workshop for students having completed grades 1 through 5 will be held on Tuesdays June 25, July 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

In addition a Pre-School Workshop for children four years old through Kindergarten will be held on Tuesdays June 25, July 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

The workshops will be conducted by Melva Nunnery and Amanda Hatfield. Workshop fees are $60 for the youth and elementary workshops and $20 for the pre-school workshop.

Participation in the workshops is not mandatory to be cast in the production of Alice in Wonderland, but will provide an opportunity for in depth theatrical training in preparation for participation in a full length production.
