The 2013 Clinton County Fair is off and running with what has been a busy, fun and (so far) a dry start.

After last week’s horse show and early pageant events, Monday night saw the fair schedule move into more pageants, including the Miss Clinton County Fair pageant.

In the photos above, pageant contestants did comparative judging during the swimsuit competition Monday night at the Clinton County Fair. The Miss Clinton County Fair included nine contestants, one of which was from Albany. Kiley Hoppe was contestant number two, second from left, in Monday night’s competition. In the center photo, Chelsie Carol Martin was crowned 2013 Miss Clinton County Fair. Martin is a native of Russell County.

At right, a new event to the Fair schedule saw tremendous participation in its inaugural run. The first annual 3-D Archery Tournament was held Monday night at the Clinton County Fair with 26 archers competing in four class divisions, shown here stepping up to the shooting line in preparation of making their next competitive shot.

Additional photos can be found in this week’s issue, and a schedule of remaining events for the Fair is on page 9.
