Delmer Sam “Shane” Ferrell, 82, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late William S. and Margarette Ferrell, husband of the late Virginia J. Davis Ferrell and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara J. Ferrell, a son, Delmer Duane Ferrell, eight brothers and one great-grandson.

He is survived by a daughter, Regina (Reverand Harrison) Braswell; a sister, Mable Milton, Albany, KY; two brothers, Gus and Ed Ferrell, both of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Derrick Braswell, Michael and Barbara Ferrell, Dannielle Zell and April Bailey; two great-grandsons, Jeremy and Braydon Bailey and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Ferrell.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Harrison Braswell officiating.
