Leta Wallen Appleby, 77, Jones Mill Rd., Albany, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie, Ray, Hansford and Harlan Wallen and seven sisters, Ala Sanderford, Velma Penticuff, Mildred and Flonnie Wallen, Vesta Zaryczny, Elsie Andrews and Ruth Goodman.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca West Choate, Jamestown, TN; two sisters, Barbara Jean Melton and Veta Guffey, both of Albany; six grandchildren, Jacob and Tyler West, Erica Johnson, Ashley Riddle, Derick Choate and Dwinn Terry; also eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Dixon officiating. Final resting place in Shelton Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
