To the Editor,

I just read that Samson was the first man to be nagged to death by a woman.

After reading Judges 13 to 16, I could have agreed. But notice something else. Samson was purely pitiful when it came to picking girlfriends and a wife. He ignored how his Jewish parents raised him to be a Nazarite as the angel told them to.

Although he was a judge for 20 years, he acted like a wild man looking for trouble. He killed 1,000 men with the jaw bone of a donkey. Yet–he prayed. Read his last prayer in Chapter 16. Please read in Hebrews 11:32 of Samson’s faith in God.

Samson had faults, but in his last minutes of life he prayed. God answered immediately. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil. 4:13.
