No alcohol, Bray wins, Trump favored, No to private school funding

Clinton County voters went to the polls during the voting process that ended with live voting on election day Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with more than 66 percent of the county’s registered voters casting ballots.
In one of the most hotly contested issues on the ballot here Tuesday, voters decided that Clinton County will not legalize the sale of alcoholic beverages.
With a heavy push to vote against the sale of alcohol in the media in the past few weeks – with newspaper and radio ads and social media post, the “No” votes narrowly won the issue with 2,409 votes while the “Yes” votes were tallied at 2,309, or some 93 votes shy.
With that “No” decision, Clinton County remains as one of only a few counties in Kentucky’s 120 counties that does not permit the sale of alcohol.

    Albany man opens fire on residence

    The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched at 4:51 a.m. Monday morning  after Clinton County 911 received a call of a male subject who entered a residence with two firearms and according to reports, began shooting inside the residence.

    Trike-A-Thon nets more than $3,000 for St. Jude

    Preschool students at Early Childhood Center spent most of the morning riding their trikes at Mountain View Park for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

    Clinton man found dead in his home

    A Clinton County man was found dead on April 9, 2024. Carlos Allan Neal, 76, lived on Bell Camp Road in Clinton County, was found dead at his residence.
    According to Coroner Lonnie Scott, preliminary findings indicated Neal passed away of  cardiac arrest.
